Exploratio Foundation is the institutional home of the Battlefield Archaeology Research Team (BART) — an international, multidisciplinary group researching the history of warfare through fieldwork, historical sources, and technical survey.

Rome Unearthed
An ongoing research initiative into the final decades of the Roman Republic — from the Gallic Wars to the civil wars that reshaped the ancient world. Since 2023, our team has been surveying one of the largest battlefields of the Roman world, in full cooperation with the relevant heritage authorities.
